No more mocks, No more Lessons... and still quite a bit of coursework, but enter the holidays.. I like!
I don't really care for christmas. Call me Grinch, but it's not even a religious celebration any more; just an excuse to spend loots of money, sing annoying carols etc. etc. (click here for more details) etc etc... Frankly I think that most muslims would find the concept of a fat bearded man wearing red quite troubling.
What I'm really liking this year is the fact that New Year's Eve, also my birthday (which also lies on January 4th), is also conveniently Eid (or 3eed... lousy english can't spell). I know that's a lot of ideas for you to take in, just breath slowly and read it over again. That's it, see! You didn't did you? :(
I haven't been doing an awful lot since the RELC exam on wed. morning, went home, met up and rented 2 movies (while my mum bought 10) and watched 2 last night. Today I spent sleeping and trying to connect to people's phones (mostly in vain). First was The Naked Gun, or I thought it was. It turned out to be the third one. I didn't even know there was a series; I only knew about the first! But it was deemed good, and we moved onto the next slightly more ominous one; called Munich. It's a film about a load of Jews who go around trying to kill the Palestinians who kidnapped (and killed) 11 (or was it 12?) Israeli atheletes as part of Black September. However, the director was also Jewish, and gave a very strange account of the palestinian side of things which can be summed up as 'If we keep killing Jews the world will realise that we live in bad conditions..' Not really why I thought they did it, but there we go.
The weather is very frosty and cold.
I know know there are over 40 000 white converts to Islam in Britain. Could use that someday.
